Become Involved
Please join us in finding a cure for diabetes. There are numerous ways to become involved with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation:
Kids for a Cure is a community service, team-based youth fundraising program that raises funds for JDRF and awareness of type 1 diabetes. Schools, clubs, sports teams and other youth organizations hosting the Kids for a Cure spare change collection fundraiser can win a pizza party. Students hosting a youth walk can earn prizes. And all participating groups and schools can earn a personalized banner.
Volunteer
Adults and students can volunteer at our chapter office during regular business hours or at a specific event throughout the year. To download a volunteer interest form, please click

Tax-deductible tribute and memorial gifts are a meaningful way for individuals or groups to honor the memory of loved ones and friends or acknowledge a special occasion. To download a contribution form, please click here. Donations can also be made online.
Your $25 tax-deductible membership donation is
accompanied by a one-year subscription to Countdown
Magazine and Countdown
For Kids.
JDRF welcomes gifts through workplace
giving campaigns, including the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC), employee matching gift programs, and other special fundraising drives. In Michigan, you may also support JDRF through payroll deduction through Community Health Charities of Michigan (CHCM). For more information on supporting JDRF through CHCM please visit www.healthcharitiesofmi.org. Legacy
gifts provide financial resources to ensure that diabetes research continues until a cure is found.
Advocate for increased research funding! JDRF works with a nation-wide network of advocates who make their voices heard when it comes to key legislative issues. To receive the tools you need to help make yourself and JDRF heard, take
legislative action.
JDRF’s national Children's
Congress helps children meet their local representatives and teaches them that their voice really does make a difference. Bi-annually, children with diabetes from every state are selected to travel to Washington, D.C. to advocate for a cure for diabetes.
Ask Congress to "Promise to Remember" Those Affected By Diabetes
Held in even-numbered years, the Promise
Campaign is a coordinated effort by JDRF advocates to schedule and complete as many meetings as possible with their U.S. Representatives and Senators. Meetings are held at the Representatives' or Senators' local district offices, making it easier for more advocates to speak face-to-face with their Members of Congress.
JDRF greeting
cards, featuring artwork by children with type 1 diabetes, make it easier than ever to raise both awareness about diabetes and research to find a cure.
At JDRF’s Apparel and
Merchandise Store you will find a wide range of items that can be used for promotions, gifts and more!
